In short

I need to setup 4 ipads with different interfaces to control four different zones. — Staff replied: “As long as you never explicitly restore the devices from each other's configurations or use the Reset Configuration button in Settings, they will never consider themselves part of the same home and thus never synchronize”

Question 2013-05 · older version

I need to setup 4 ipads with different interfaces to control four different zones. Do I just disable the sync features or there is a better way?

Roomie Staff 2013-05 · older version

As long as you never explicitly restore the devices from each other's configurations or use the Reset Configuration button in Settings, they will never consider themselves part of the same home and thus never synchronize.

Thank you.

Thank you. Any way to backup the files since it is a big installation?

Roomie Staff 2013-06 · older version

Sure, just make sure to use a separate Dropbox for each.

Or combine them all into 1 config with 4 separate rooms?

Thank you.
