This might not be a problem with the roomie itself but when I use itunes option on roomie to play my music through my receiver using airplay, the dialog feels like passive in the background but when I play the same music which is saved on my iphone through airplay on my receiver, it feels completely fine. Any idea why that happens with ituens?

That wouldn't be Roomie related. You would no doubt see the same thing just clicking your music from iTunes. As we haven't observed that behavior, we have no theories on why your iTunes would sound differently from your iOS device.
