Why does tapping an Activity open its settings instead of starting it? And where is Power Off?

In short

Settings › Activities is where Activities are edited, so tapping one there opens its editor. To start an Activity, go to the room and tap its tile on the Room Layout. A room's Power Off Activity runs from the power button at the top right of the room screen, or from the power control on the Now Playing card. Power Off Activities intentionally can't be added to a layout as tiles.

Editing vs. running

Settings › Activities lists your Activities by type (Media, Inline, and Scenes) so you can change what they do, and every tap there opens the editor by design. Starting an Activity happens in the room itself, from its tile on the Room Layout.

Giving an Activity a tile

If an Activity has no tile yet, edit the room's layout and use Add to Layout to place it.

Where Power Off lives

A room's Power Off Activity has two controls: the power button at the top right of the room screen, and the power control on the Now Playing card. If a room has more than one Power Off Activity, the top-right button opens a menu so you can choose. The top-right button is hidden while you're editing the layout, and it comes back when you finish.

Why Power Off isn't a tile

Power Off Activities are left out of Add to Layout on purpose, since they're always reachable from those two controls.
