In short

Powers on via IR remote but not via IP command. Also tried IP Wake On Lan, and toggling the Power but nothing wake's up — Staff replied: “Yes, that's noted on our compatibility list. Series 9 (2012) was the first set of Sony models with Wake on LAN support.”

Question 2012-12 · older version

Powers on via IR remote but not via IP command. Also tried IP Wake On Lan, and toggling the Power but nothing wake's up the BR player over IP :frowning: If I pat for the IR pack, could I send it an IR power-ON signal first, then do everything else via IP commands inside the same activity?

BTW it does seem to power down via IP... just not ON.

Yes, that's noted on our compatibility list. Series 9 (2012) was the first set of Sony models with Wake on LAN support.

Yes, you can send power on via IR and then do everything else via IP.
