Is there any support coming in the near future for the new Philips BDP7501 Ultra HD Bluray player? I am considering gett — Staff replied: “I checked that player personally and there is no IP whatsoever. Works great with the Philips Blu-ray Code Group 2 via IR.”

Is there any support coming in the near future for the new Philips BDP7501 Ultra HD Bluray player? I am considering getting one and would really prefer it be controlled via my Simple Control remote without having to use the IP to IR device.

I checked that player personally and there is no IP whatsoever.

Works great with the Philips Blu-ray Code Group 2 via IR.

Thanks Will! I wonder if the Panasonic DMP-UB900 will be the same. As I understand it, they share some of the same components or at least have the same user interface. I've been torn on waiting for the Panasonic (not yet available in the US) since it's a better quality player or just getting the Philips and calling it a day.
