Nest Cam setup not working

In short

I have never been able to get my Nest Cam working, I created my Nest cloud device and signed in, but any activity I crea — Staff replied: “That can happen if you only have a NestCam and it has no events. Using Home or System, the video clip of the most recent event displays for NestCam. If you have no events, nothing displays.”

I have never been able to get my Nest Cam working, I created my Nest cloud device and signed in, but any activity I create with a camera just gives me black screen even after clicking the edit button. The documentation is mostly geared towards the thermostat setu, which I do not have.

What I am I dong wrong?

That can happen if you only have a NestCam and it has no events. Using Home or System, the video clip of the most recent event displays for NestCam. If you have no events, nothing displays. Using the old Legacy Nest support, a still image of a recent camera status will be displayed (not related to most recent event).
