Open app and audio on iPhone stops playing

Hi,

When I’m listening to something on my iPhone and quickly switch over to simple control, whatever it is that I’m listening to stops playing on my phone.

Is there something I need to do within my phone so this doesn’t happen?

Sounds like you have "Volume Hard Buttons" turned on. That means whenever you're in Simple Control, we take over the system volume/player. If you use that device for playing other stuff frequently, you probably want to turn that off.

Just checked and I have that option off.

Just did a little bit of testing and found out that the issue only happens when the open is initially open.. so, if I have the app open in the background and start playing music and then switch over to the app the music continues playing just fine. But, if I have music playing and I open the app, then it stops the music.
