The IR codes for these devices aren't working, the 4x4 switcher codes works in so far as switching on and off however it doesn't change inputs. Can you please help? Also is there a IP control set up for the Sony VW1000 4k projector?

Monoprice changes their codes from time to time, so it's sometimes the case that their codes are better learned using these instructions:

However, we would first advise just increasing the Retransmit Count and following the other steps in the IR Diagnosis FAQ:

Virgin is a cable provider, not a box maker. If you know the actual brand and model, it can be looked up on the compatibility list:

Most likely, that's an issue with which command set is being selected.
