In short

I'm not actually certain what this section is called... but it's the area that I assume is suppose to show the lenth of — Staff replied: “Yes, those sections are activated when the settings on the DirecTV box are turned on as listed on the IP Compatibility list: Thank you.”

I'm not actually certain what this section is called... but it's the area that I assume is suppose to show the lenth of the program you are watching and what your current postion is.

Does anyone get feedback for Directv DVR'd programs here? I have an HR-44.

Yes, those sections are activated when the settings on the DirecTV box are turned on as listed on the IP Compatibility list:

Drove me crazy as well. Make sure that remote status is enabled on your DVR. I think it is under home sharing. One of the three configurable options. If this is off you won't see what is playing or status.
