The default auto-discovery assignment for the receiver is not to use that command set. — Staff replied: “Should be fixed in the next library update in a couple days. We still consider that command set a bit experimental though until a software update that actually switches over to it.”

The default auto-discovery assignment for the receiver is not to use that command set. Especially for zone 2, that's definitely experimental. Make sure to use the set assigned by auto-discovery to ensure proper zone 2 behavior.

OK the Auto Discovery approach has worked for both zones. The FAQ would lead one to believe that the product is going in the direction and it seemed best to try that approach since I do have multiple IOS devices on the network. I'll reconfigure to use the auto discovery. Any time line on when that approach will be the preferred method?

I switched back to the IP Zone command set since it seems to actually work better in Zone 2 than using the Auto Discovery set.
