Is there a way to direct the channel guide to change the channel on my cable box rather than the TV? I can't find where — Staff replied: “Make sure that your Activity is setup with the Cable Box as 'Opens Remote'. Then, open the Activity. Now, when you edit the guide settings or tune channels in the guide, the Cable Box will be the target.”

Is there a way to direct the channel guide to change the channel on my cable box rather than the TV? I can't find where I can change this and the option is greyed out on the guide setup. If I accidentally hit a channel in the guide at this point, it changes on my tv which isn't what I want it to do.

Make sure that your Activity is setup with the Cable Box as 'Opens Remote'. Then, open the Activity. Now, when you edit the guide settings or tune channels in the guide, the Cable Box will be the target. Before any Activity is opened, the first device in your list capable of tuning channels is used for the guide. After an Activity is opened, the device associated with that Activity is used.
