Or is anyone able to assist with creating a custom device or similar?

+1 for this, I would like to see this as well. The API is pretty simple and I have done some integration with other things myself using it, so it should be a no-brainer to implement support for it in Simple Control. Please consider this, thanks.

Has anyone managed to add this to RR? I'm using it for control of several air conditioners and it would be great to have control through RR.
