Would it be possible to control a Crestron system using an Itach serial adapter?

Specifically the crestnet serial bus.

For example:

My home has crestron keypads in every room. Each keypad is connected to the Crestron serial bus. Each dimmer module has an address on the serial bus.

A switch closure is transmitted on the serial bus and read by the Crestron computer. The computer sends a command to take action on the appropriate device.

If the itach could be adapted to the same levels as the Crestnet bus then, theoretically, you should be able to mimic any keypad on the bus.
