Recent updates to my Roku 3 have added the MGo and AOL News apps. Unfortunate these seem to be treated differently than the rest of my apps as you cannot uninstall them just hide them.

That theoretically should not be an issue however once they are hidden they still appear in Roomie's media guide.

Is there any way to hide them in the media guide?

Yes, I just figured this out a couple of days ago... This is a VERY annoying decision by Roku to implement, IMHO. You have to go to the settings on the Roku box and un-check "Movies" and "News." The Roomie activity will then have to be refreshed by launch another activity and then relaunching the Roku activity in order for those icons to disappear. Hope this helps!
