this is for the itunes control. When i select a movie in the guide. is there a way to get it to ask me if i want to resume or play from beginning?

Also the movie that is playing is highlighted in green. if i click it, it turns blue. What does blue and green mean?

Green means "now playing". Blue means "selected".

Yes, there is a way to reset the position. If you tap the play position bar in the Virtual Remote, you can reset the play position to the beginning.

As a special note, you could also just create a custom button that sent a .PLAY SET command to iTunes with a Parameter of 0.

For fun, you could set that parameter to anything you like. It's just the number of seconds into the program you want to reposition. So to set to half an hour, you would use 1800.
