If you need Nest support, use Homebridge Nest to use it in Roomie. We did begin the approval process for the new API.”

Recently, Google released support for Nest Thermostats in their Smart Device Management (SDM) API. Any chance of re-supporting this?

Our standing recommendation remains what it says in the release notes. If you need Nest support, use Homebridge Nest to use it in Roomie.

We did begin the approval process for the new API. There are many layers of red tape, the last of which remains. Given the current task list, this is more likely to be a 2021 task. After V6.5 goes out, after that settles down, and assuming the many layers of approval go well, the actual implementation time seems very simple. We'll see.
