QuestionGui0312

Trying to control my JVC NZ8 (RS3100] via IP on Roomie Remote. I had this setup a while back and it worked great. I had a short stint with another remote from a dealer friend of mine he wanted me to try out which had been less than stellar so I came back but now it won’t control it with the same settings I used before.

JVC IP AUTH

static IP Port 20554

network identifier: PASSWORD 10 (is this where it goes?)

MAC address

ive been on the same JVC formware 3.00 since before roomie so I doubt it’s a new firmware thing.

any help appreciated

There are 4 JVC projector code sets: Normal, Serial, Auth, and Hashed. PASSWORD10 is set on the projector itself, you don't ever need to type that into Roomie. I'm not sure which set applies to your projector, but it's safe to say this topic has been covered many times in detail in this forum so likely just searching your model number can reveal that. But regardless, just trying each should match on one assuming the settings are correct on the projector. The Auth and Hashed code sets are the newer ones, so I would start with normal and you don't need to try Serial of course.
