In short

I have an advanced network where network discovery is not possible due to vLAN and VPNs and what not. — Staff replied: “Adding IR devices on the iTach can be done manually. Just tap Add Device, then 'Manual IP', enter the IP address of your iTach and then use port 4998.”

Question 2013-07 · older version

I have an advanced network where network discovery is not possible due to vLAN and VPNs and what not. I need to configure the iTach to RoomieRemote via a static ip and port. I can add the device in but it appears only to control the ir ports open/close. Not sure how to add in the other IR devices. Thanks.

Adding IR devices on the iTach can be done manually. Just tap Add Device, then 'Manual IP', enter the IP address of your iTach and then use port 4998. Roomie will automatically figure what's going on and ask you the details for the infrared device.

Thank you.
