Can I attach an IR device to the iPad to control the IR on a TV or do I have to buy the iTach WiFi adapter? — Staff replied: “The iTach does not attach to the iPad. The iTach does not attach to the iPad. That would be a horrible solution as you'd have to constantly attach and remove such a thing whenever you wanted to charge the power. The iTach sits hidden away with your equipment and talks to your iPad via your network to control IR devices.

I am not trying to attach the iTach to the iPad but you can buy IR emitters for the IPad. Can I buy one of those and control my TV via the IR on the TV with the Roomie App?

For the reasons in our last post among others, we have chosen not to work with any of those things. We just don't think they're realistic in practice.
