Reading through CEDIA coverage, it appears that both of these products are becoming a bit more friendly integrators and are opening up their APIs a bit to select developers. Are there any plans from Roomie to pursue IP control/API support for either the Dish Hopper or the Nest Thermostat? I would much prefer the Hopper controlled via IP than over IR if at all possible.

The Nest API was an announcement of an announcement. It is not a public API at this time, and they are not signing anyone up. They're only asking for "comments" on the concept of an API, you can't even look at it. So that's pretty much non-existent and we're happy to look at it once it exists.

The Dish API is something we plan to investigate.

Thank you.
