In short

Really love that the dim feature restores brightness when Roomie is closed. — Staff replied: “The current brightness level when dimmed is set to 0.0 for the device. The exact meaning of 0.0 varies by physical device. Some go darker than others. We can't physically turn off the screen, iOS doesn't allow that.”

Question 2014-10 · older version

Really love that the dim feature restores brightness when Roomie is closed.

Would it be possible to add the ability to have the dim go all the way down to black or at least as low as iOS will allow?

When watching a movie in my theater, even the current dimmed brightness is distracting.

Roomie Staff 2014-10 · older version

The current brightness level when dimmed is set to 0.0 for the device. The exact meaning of 0.0 varies by physical device. Some go darker than others. We can't physically turn off the screen, iOS doesn't allow that. This is a primary reason why much of the UI is dark. There may be elements of your Remote Design that you could remove to reduce bright aspects.

Thank you.
