In short

Does anyone have any information about IP or IR support for the new Channel Master DVR+ receiver? I'm considering pickin — Staff replied: “If anyone comes across information on IP control for it, feel free to pass it along to support. Thank you.”

Question 2014-02 · older version

Does anyone have any information about IP or IR support for the new Channel Master DVR+ receiver? I'm considering picking one of these up, but don't want to mess with learning IR commands. Ideally, it would support pure IP control.

Thanks,

Kent

Hi Kent,

Have received the Channel Master CM-7500? If so, how does it work with Roomie?

Doug,

I have not purchased one yet, but hope to after I move later this spring. I'm crossing my fingers that pure IP support will be present by then.

If you find out anything about compatability with Roomie via IP, please share that information here.

Sorry no IP support.

Did purchase the DVR+ CM-7500 and it works very well. Although, I had to "teach" Roomie the IR commands.

With the help of <a href="http://www.harctoolbox.org/">IrScrutinizer</a>, was able to create discrete on and off commands.

POWER ON: 47

POWER OFF: 46

According to Channel Master the commands are:

Discrete On 0x37 (Function 55 Decimal)

Discrete Off 0x38 (Function 56 Decimal)

These did not work for me.

For RoomieRemote the commands are:

POWER ON: 38400,%d,69,347,173,22,65,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,22,22,65,22,22,22,22,22,65,22,22,22,65,22,65,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,1527,347,87,22,3692

POWER OFF: 38400,%d,69,347,173,22,65,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,22,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,22,22,65,22,22,22,22,22,65,22,22,22,65,22,65,22,65,22,22,22,22,22,22,22,1527,347,87,22,3692
