Question 2013-09 · older version

In the old version of Roomie you could access the Channel Guide from a room ("Living Room") on the bottom bar. Now it seems that the Channel Guide only becomes available from within an "Activity".

Is there anyway to access the guide without having to start an activity?

It was always nice to be able to check the TV listing to see if anything good was on before I started up the home theatre.

Thanks!

This was indeed removed. It caused one of our top support issues because users would get confused and not understand why the guide was not tuning channels for them – because the guide they were using was not associated with any device. So as part of simplifying the guide setup, the "not associated with any Activity or Device" guide was removed.

We will likely add it back at some point, but carefully and only via explicit setting.

Thank you.
