Button to open other apps?

Is there a way for a button in roomie to open another app on an ipad? the scenario being something like using a chromeca — Staff replied: “Yes, this FAQ covers that topic: The important thing to remember is that not all apps support it. Is there a way for a button in roomie to open another app on an ipad?

the scenario being something like using a chromecast or other externally controlled app. it'd be convenient to have a button in roomie that allowed switching to Netflix (after setting up the avr, tv and lighting).

If not, is there a way to pop up a dialog that instructs the user to do this on their own?
