In short

Would be good to add the capability to hide a homekit device individually from Simple. — Staff replied: “A guided access pad would often also have Prevent Editing turned on and Single Room Mode turned on. In such cases, all devices outside the scope of that room are hidden.”

Would be good to add the capability to hide a homekit device individually from Simple. Much like we can hide it from Alexa. A toggle just like that would be great. For example, I may not want to expose my locks at all to the guided access pads that are located around the house but still have them in the Home app since I will only have access to that.

A guided access pad would often also have Prevent Editing turned on and Single Room Mode turned on. In such cases, all devices outside the scope of that room are hidden. PIN based lockdown can also be used to ensure that.
