Simple Hub License

If you are receiving a message regarding “The paired Simple Hub is not licensed”. Then you may need to re-pair your iOS devices with your Simple Hub. This can be done by following the steps below. We do recommend creating a back up of your configuration before completing the steps.

Please follow the steps below to re-pair and license your Simple Hub for 4.5:

  1. Select the Settings Icon in Simple Control
  2. Sign out and sign back in to your Simple Control account
  3. Select your Simple Hub Device note: it should show its version number, current version is 4.5.x
  4. If it says you are paired select Unpair from Simple Hub (if it is spinning, select cancel, the status should now be updated to unpaired)
  5. Scroll down and select Reset Simple Hub
  6. Select OK for Reset Complete
  7. Power cycle your Simple Hub device wait a minute for the Hub to power up
  8. Power cycle the iOS controller
  9. Open Simple Control go to Settings > select Simple Hub > select Simple Hub Device > select Pair with Simple Hub

Please follow the steps below to re-pair and license your Hub for Simple Control 5:

  1. Select the Menu Icon in Simple Control
  2. Go to Settings and Sign out and back in to your Simple Control account
  3. Go to Simple Hub in Settings and Select your Simple Hub Device note: it should show its version number, current version is 5.x.x
  4. If it says you are paired select Unpair from Simple Hub (if it is spinning, select cancel, the status should now be updated to unpaired)
  5. Scroll down and select Reset Simple Hub
  6. Select OK for Reset Complete
  7. Power cycle your Simple Hub device wait a minute for the Hub to power up
  8. Power cycle the iOS device
  9. Open Simple Control go to Settings > select Simple Hub > select Simple Hub Device > select Pair with Simple Hub

For remaining iOS Controllers:

  1. Go to Settings > Reset Simple Control
  2. Wait for Detected Home to pop up
  3. Select Yes to Pair with Simple Hub
